Great article in the Lancaster Sunday News today on Organic and what it really is - see link below. Not all is what it seems, and I've been saying all along - I could care less that the food is labeled with "organic." I care more about the fact that the farmer didn't use chemicals or hormones, and is practicing sustainability. I've been working in marketing long enough to know that these labels mean little to nothing.
That's why it's so important to understand the source of your food. It's why I'm a strong proponent of buying local; I can talk to the farmer and learn what his/her farming practices are. Let's face it - organically labeled food is expensive. Know what you're buying.
This is a two-part series. Will post the next one when it comes out!

You forgot one thing...GMOs. It won't be long until GMOs will be labeled organic.
Fair comment that's a reminder of how sinister this all can be.
